The facility is asking for a Internal or Family medicine provider to work 8 to 5pm M-F onsite for patient care(PT will be considered). Job Responsibilities
B. Perform history and complete physical exam on all new admission and thereafter as clinically indicated and annually per hospital protocol.
C. Responsible for the daily overall medical care of the patients. Physicians must see their assigned patients no less than monthly.
D. Consult with psychiatric and nursing staff about specific medical problems regarding patients.
E. Prepare medical record documentation per guidelines.
F. Perform medical and minor surgical procedures on-site, within the confines of their licensure and within the confines of equipment, supplies, and/or materials available to perform such procedures.
G. Respond immediately to medical emergency calls from the unit staff.
H. Refer patients requiring emergency services, inpatient, or surgical care to the appropriate medical facility or emergency department. The patient’s family or legal guardian must be notified.
I. Refer patients for appropriate consultations, or specialized medical care, on an as needed basis and personally follow-up on the results of the consultation.
J. Sign and date, notating the time, of all verbal and telephone orders by the end of their shift. Verbal orders need to be validated in the electronic medical record (EMR).
K. Act as a contributing member of the hospital’s interdisciplinary team and participate in Medical Staff directed performance improvement activities and peer reviews.
L. Remain physically present on the hospital premises throughout their shift and to respond promptly to the unit area requesting their presence.
Complete the Annual Summary of Medical Condition on patients assigned by the due date
Qualifications
*Completeion of an accredited residency program
*At least one year of post residency, full licensure experience
*Valid MI medical license, DEA and controlled substance license
