Job Description

A Pleasanton, California based client is seeking a motivated and compassionate primary care physician to join a community health practice. An ideal candidate can be a new graduate, should value the practice of evidence-based patient care, and should be comfortable treating all ages. This role involves collaboration with other staff members and leading mid-level providers and nursing staff.

Required Qualifications

• CA medical license
• CA DEA certificate before start date
• Expertise in primary care and EHR
• CPR certification
• Board certified in primary care

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish and/or other languages

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose a variety of diseases and injuries in patients of all ages
• Participate in a 24-hour call schedule and provide appropriate medical triage according to established protocols
• Perform therapeutic procedures, including preventative care and follow up
• Arrange referrals, consultations, and therapeutic services for patients on caseload
• Participate in quality assurance and utilization review activities as assigned
• Document all patient encounters efficiently and according to organization policy
