Job Description

A Chambersburg based client is seeking an experienced Internal Medicine Physician to provide excellent care to patients of all ages. An ideal candidate is a versatile and collaborative Physician who values providing equitable care to all populations, including the underserved and underinsured. The role involves the full scope of family practice in a Federally Qualified Community Health Center in order to meet the diverse health and social needs of patients. The practice has seven family physicians, two nurse practitioners, and a full support team.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduated from an accredited medical school with a MD or DO degree
  • Current PA state medical license
  • Completed an accredited residency program
  • Current DEA certificate
  • Board certified or eligible in primary care
  • Current CPR certification

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including preventive care, primary diagnosis and treatment and inpatient medical care if appropriate
  • Serve as a preceptor to providers in training as needed
  • Maintains strict patient confidentiality
  • Maintains timely documentation in medical records in accordance with established clinic protocols
  • Participates in quality improvement activities
  • Complies with OSHA regulations as well as all clinic safety standards
