Primary Care Physician Opportunity in Georgia!

A fantastic opportunity awaits you at an outpatient Internal Medicine Primary Care private healthcare facility situated in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia. This region boasts the highest-ranked schools in the state. The work schedule entails Monday to Friday, providing you with a well-balanced 4.5 workdays per week, with weekends and major holidays off. Patients typically consist of privately insured middle-aged individuals.

The potential income for this position is competitive, offering around $350,000 plus benefits. Additionally, the on-call responsibilities are exceptionally light.

Established in 2008, this private healthcare facility focuses on out-patient Internal Medicine Primary Care and Family Medicine/Family Practice. Key responsibilities and job details include:

  • Concentrating on preventive care with an emphasis on recommending annual preventive visits for all patients.
  • Treating a wide range of common chronic and acute medical conditions for patients aged 18 and older (with certain exceptions such as chronic narcotics, tranquilizers, sleeping aids, attention deficit medications, psychotropic medications, for which specialist referrals are suggested).
  • Familiarity with E/M coding guidelines and taking charge of medical coding.
  • Flexible workdays from Monday to Friday (4.5 workdays per week), with room for adjustment if necessary.
  • Closed on weekends and major holidays.
  • Patient scheduling: Typically two (2) new patients per hour or three (3) established patients (with schedule flexibility at the physician's discretion).
  • Light on-call duties involving phone calls only.
  • Patients typically of middle age with private insurance coverage.

Support and ancillary services are readily available, including support staff such as receptionists, schedulers, medical assistants, nurses, medical billing service, in-house billers, administrative and medical support staff. Additionally, the facility provides in-office diagnostic testing, electronic medical records via E-eClinicalWorks, a patient portal, and coordination with subspecialty physicians in the area.

This practice has affiliations with nearby hospitals, including Emory Johns Creek & St. Joseph's hospitals, Northside hospitals in Duluth, Cumming, and Lawrenceville, as well as Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Requirements include board certification for experienced physicians or board eligibility for new graduates, with successful completion and passage of boards required before the start date. Candidates must have attended a highly-rated medical school and residency program. While two years of experience in primary care are preferred, new graduates are encouraged to apply.
