Join a dynamic healthcare environment as a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Residency Program Director. This is a unique opportunity to lead and shape the future of an Internal Medicine residency program set to launch in 2027, with a strong foundation already in place. You will have the chance to develop the program's vision, curriculum, and accreditation application, all while working in a supportive and established setting.
Position Highlights:
- Full-time, hospital employed opportunity
- Lead the development of the Internal Medicine residency program, including vision, mission, and curriculum
- Program planned to launch in 2027 with 18 residents, six per year
- Established Transitional Year and Emergency Medicine programs
- Recruit and evaluate program leadership in accordance with ACGME requirements
- Engage in didactics and educational activities, including lectures and journal clubs
- Interview residency program candidates on select interview days
- Ensure residents meet educational goals and receive hands-on clinical training
- Provide formal and informal feedback to residents throughout their rotations
Qualifications:
- Board-certified in Internal Medicine
- Completion of U.S. residency training
- Genuine desire to teach and mentor residents
- Documented administrative or academic leadership experience
- Eligible for Mississippi medical licensure
