Med-Peds Hospitalist – Rural Wyoming | Flexible Schedule
A rural hospital in Fremont County, Wyoming is seeking a Med-Peds Hospitalist to join an established hospitalist team. This is a unique opportunity for a physician who enjoys caring for both adult and pediatric patients and wants the flexibility to help shape a position around their interests and lifestyle.
The hospital system serves a regional population of 40,000+ residents and provides comprehensive medical services, including 24/7 hospitalist and emergency care, surgery, women’s health and advanced diagnostic services.
The Opportunity
- Opportunity to combine adult hospitalist and pediatric shifts, potentially allowing both roles to be covered concurrently depending on the time of year

Adult Hospitalist:
- Preferred schedule of approximately 10 24-hour shifts per month
- Average census: 10–12 patients per day
- Telestroke and tele-psychiatry support available
Pediatrics:
- 24-hour unrestricted call shifts
- Average pediatric census: approximately 1 patient per day
- Coverage includes the newborn nursery and pediatric inpatients
- Approximately 300 deliveries annually
Qualifications
- BE/BC in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine for hospitalist coverage
- BE/BC in Pediatrics or Family Medicine for pediatric coverage
- Comfortable managing ICU-level care, including ventilator management, intubation and central lines
- Must be comfortable caring for both adult and pediatric inpatients in a rural hospital setting
