This facility is part of a respected Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) organization that provides comprehensive care services to seniors. The program is centered on the belief that it's better for seniors with chronic care needs to be served in their communities whenever possible, focusing on maintaining independence while delivering dignified and respectful care.
Opportunity:
Board Certified - Medical Director
Job Details:
• Full-time, Monday-Friday schedule serving as Medical Director for a PACE program • Provide general medical direction and supervision of medical aspects of participant care • Responsible for delivery of participant care, clinical outcomes, and oversight of Quality Assurance Performance Improvement program • Develop and maintain medical policies, procedures, standards and protocols • Provide direction and supervision to Primary Care Providers and Advanced Practice Providers • Conduct history and physical exams on new participants with periodic reassessments • Develop medical treatment plans and provide medically necessary services across various care settings • Interview and evaluate PACE applicants and participate in Intake and Assessment decisions • Discuss medical conditions and prognosis with participants and caregivers to assist with care planning • Collaborate in nursing treatment programs and maintain operating goals as part of leadership team • Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings, family conferences and decision-making processes • Educate participants and families about health maintenance and chronic conditions • Supervise healthcare and treatment programs developed by the interdisciplinary team • Perform physical examinations, order appropriate tests, and maintain systematic documentation • Participate in provider on-call rotation as required • Must have current and active physician license in Massachusetts • Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice required (Geriatrics preferred) • DEA Registration required • Previous supervisory experience required • Minimum one year documented experience working with frail or elderly populations
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
