Shift Pattern: Night Shifts Only (5:30 PM – 5:30 AM)

Position Summary & Practice Setting:
- Work Setting: 100% Inpatient / ICU (36 Beds)
- Schedule: 12-Hour Night Shifts (5:30 PM to 5:30 AM)
- Patient Volume: 15–20 patients per shift
- Responsibilities: ICU Night Coverage, Admissions, Unassigned Patient Rounding
- Call Requirements: None (Scheduled Clinical Hours Only)
- Support Staff: 2–8 RNs, 1 PA/NP (No APP or Resident supervision required)
Clinical & Procedural Requirements:
Candidates must be skilled and comfortable performing the following core ICU procedures:
- Airway Management: Ventilation Management (Invasive & Non-invasive), ETT/NT/Tracheostomy
- Lines & Access: Insertion of Central Lines, Arterial Lines, PA Catheters, and Dialysis Catheters
- Diagnostic & Therapeutic Procedures: Bronchoscopy (w/ BAL), Chest Tube Insertion, Lumbar Puncture, Paracentesis, Thoracentesis
- Hemodynamic Management: Acute volume/BP management, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Temporary placement, ICP evaluation/management
Candidate Requirements:
- Board Certification: Board Certified in Internal Medicine - Critical Care Medicine (Fellowship Required)
- Licensing: Active Arizona State Medical License OR Active IMLC (Compact State License)
