Chief of Infectious Diseases Opening in Connecticut
Located in Bridgeport, CT

Full-time; Permanent position
Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience
Overview
As the regional Chief, you would be reporting to the System Director of Infectious Disease and would lead a department of 4 physicians but would with interact with all 25 Infectious Disease physicians around the system as well
Establishing communication lines with all services lines to provide support
Mentorship of junior faculty
Oversee the hospital epidemiology program, working closely with Infection Prevention
Work closely with our Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacists
Outpatient office including outpatient HIV and Hepatitis C patient treatment, STDs and travel medicine
System-wide collaboration with over 25 ID physician colleagues
Post graduate medical education for residents as well as medical students
No primary care
Active Hospitalist program to care for inpatients
Shared call with other ID physicians
