Infectious Disease Physician Opportunity
* Located in Dayton, OH - Cincinnati 55m
* Full-time, permanent position
Position Overview
* Full-time Infectious Disease opportunity
* Independent, consult-driven Infectious Disease practice
* Monday–Friday clinical service
* Shared weeknight and weekend call rotation
* Primarily inpatient Infectious Disease consultation and follow-up
* Opportunities for Antimicrobial Stewardship, Infection Prevention, teaching, quality improvement, and physician leadership
Qualifications
* Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Disease
* Strong diagnostic consultation skills
* Experience managing complex antimicrobial therapy
* Collaborative and system-oriented approach to patient care
* Interest in Antimicrobial Stewardship, Infection Prevention, and clinical leadership
Practice Highlights
* Join a team of 7 Infectious Disease physician partners
* Up to 3 physicians on service simultaneously at the primary hospital
* Average weekday caseload of approximately 15 consults per day
* Shared coverage model among on-service physicians
* Clinical responsibilities across multiple hospital locations in the Dayton area
* Collaboration with Hospitalists, Intensivists, surgeons, Oncologists, and Pharmacy
* Physician-led Antimicrobial Stewardship and Infection Prevention programs
* Strong administrative and Pharmacy support
* Participate in clinical conferences, case reviews, and guideline development
* Teaching and curriculum development with Internal Medicine residents and medical students
* Opportunities to influence quality improvement and Infection Prevention initiatives
