Medical Director- ID&LGBTQ Programs

A healthcare system in New York City is seeking an experienced Medical Director to oversee its ID&LGBTQ Programs at one of its Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) in Manhattan.

About the Opportunity:

• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: Standard business
• Setting: In-person

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate clinicians providing infectious disease and LGBTQ services across multiple clinic sites
• Support leadership in the development and maintenance of integrated HIV service plans and related clinical initiatives
• Provide clinical guidance on HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, STIs, PrEP, PEP, and transgender health services
• Collaborate with population health and program teams to review quality metrics, update care standards, and support compliance requirements
• Assist with provider credentialing, clinician support, committee participation, and the advancement of new program initiatives

Qualifications:

• Medical degree
• Extensive experience with HIV, infectious disease, and LGBTQ health issues
• Demonstrated ability to work with HIV-infected individuals
• Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and team-building skills
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and religious backgrounds

Desired Skills:

• Experience with transgender health care, including hormone therapy and referrals for gender-affirming surgery
• Background in provider education, clinical committee participation, and program development
• Familiarity with grant compliance and clinical quality improvement efforts
