Infectious Disease - Medical Director for LGBTQ Health

WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Director to lead our Infectious Disease and LGBTQ Health initiatives. Overview

• Location: Queens preferred; Brooklyn may be considered
• 80% Clinical / 20% Administrative
• 28 patient-facing clinical hours weekly
• Dedicated administrative day with remote flexibility
• 1-hour lunch built into clinical schedule
• Leadership role overseeing ID & LGBTQ clinicians and programming
• Mission-driven environment serving diverse and underserved populations
• Collaborative work with CMO, Primary Care leadership, Population Health, and ID/LGBTQ program teams

Requirements

• MD or DO degree
• Completion of an accredited Infectious Disease fellowship
• Board Certified in Infectious Disease
• Active New York medical license (or ability to obtain)
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience with significant HIV/Infectious Disease expertise
• Extensive experience caring for LGBTQ patient populations, including transgender health
• Prior leadership, supervisory, or medical directorship experience
• FQHC or community health experience strongly preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills
• Passion for serving diverse and underserved communities

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision and leadership for Infectious Disease and LGBTQ health services
• Support and advance integrated HIV service plan
• Serve as an internal resource for HIV, Hepatitis B/C, STIs, PrEP, PEP, and other infectious disease topics
• Lead transgender health initiatives, including gender-affirming hormone therapy programs and specialty referrals
• Assist with provider recruitment, onboarding, credentialing, and mentorship
• Oversee clinical quality metrics and population health initiatives for HIV patients
• Educate providers on evolving HIV, STI, and LGBTQ care guidelines
• Collaborate with program leadership to ensure grant compliance and program development
• Help establish and support antimicrobial stewardship efforts across the organization
