The Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) Division of Infectious Diseases is accepting applications for full-time physicians in Infectious Diseases, starting July 2027. This position offers opportunities to provide care across Vanderbilt Health's expanding regional network, including collaboration with providers in Clarksville and participation in telemedicine consult services supporting rural healthcare facilities throughout Tennessee. The ideal candidate(s) will have excellent communication skills, experience working within multidisciplinary teams, and a commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.
VUMC is the largest comprehensive research, teaching, and patient care health system in the Mid-South. The VUMC research enterprise is ranked in the top 10 nationally, with robust programs in quality improvement, bioinformatics, and personalized medicine. The successful applicant will be joining a vibrant division which includes more than 60 full-time faculty and 14 Infectious Diseases fellows, with support from dedicated Infectious Diseases pharmacists.

International medical graduates seeking to apply for available physician positions must be certified by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG), must have passed the United States medical licensing examinations (USMLE Step 1 and Step 2), must have completed a United States based residency even if they have completed a residency or practiced medicine in another country, and must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications:
- MD, DO, or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Infectious Diseases.
- Demonstrated excellence in clinical care and a commitment to patient-centered practice.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Infectious Diseases, eligible for Tennessee medical licensure, and have completed an ACGME-accredited residency in the United States.
