Chief of Infectious Diseases opportunity in Bridgeport, Connecticut, providing physician leadership for an established 4-physician ID department.. Outpatient practice includes HIV, Hepatitis C, sexually transmitted diseases and travel medicine.. Lead the continued growth and development of the Infectious Disease section.. Establish strong communication and collaboration with hospital service lines to expand ID support throughout the organization.. Provide mentorship to junior faculty and help develop the next generation of physicians.. Oversee the hospital epidemiology program in close partnership with Infection Prevention.. Opportunity to play a key role in antimicrobial stewardship and hospital-acquired infection initiatives..
