Our client, a reputable and growing healthcare organization, is hiring a dedicated Infectious Disease Physician leader to join a vibrant, multidisciplinary team committed to delivering exceptional patient care. This position offers an excellent opportunity to serve a diverse patient population while contributing to innovative programs in infectious disease management. Seeking a qualified Infectious Disease physician—focused on general infectious disease practice, in a leadership capacity emphasizing inpatient care and team oversight. It is a teaching environment. The role involves providing comprehensive outpatient services, especially HIV primary care, alongside inpatient responsibilities. The environment is dynamic, collaborative, and mission-driven, emphasizing community health impact and patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient and outpatient infectious disease care, including HIV management and PrEP.
- Participate in a shared call rotation of 1:3, predominantly telephonic.
- Serve as a core faculty member involved in teaching and mentoring residents and house staff.
- Engage in leadership activities (for leadership role) to support program growth, policy development, and team coordination.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including nurses, diabetic educators, and case managers.
- Maintain certifications as needed and pursue additional training in HIV or antibiotic stewardship if applicable.
- Contribute to program development efforts funded through recent grants, including support services expansion.
Requirements:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board-certified or eligible in Infectious Diseases.
- Strong clinical experience in infectious disease management.
- Prior experience or interest in HIV care, certification preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, cultural competence, and ability to work within a diverse patient population.
- Bilingual candidates, particularly Spanish-speaking, are highly preferred.
- Ability and willingness to obtain or hold relevant certifications, including HIV certification.
- Leadership experience is desired.
