Job description

Job description Full time opportunity with compensation packages tied to weekend call frequency. Majority of patients are seen in the inpatient setting at busy hospitals that the group is well established at with the ability to refer to the groups office for outpatient follow up. Partnership track is available. New fellows are encouraged to apply. J1 visa sponsorship is available for those who are willing to acquire all required documentation and cover expenses involved.

Job Responsibilities

Assess and treat all patients consulted to the group using sound clinical judgement at assigned hospital(s) and continue to follow the patient until discharged from the hospital. Use all necessary diagnostic testing to follow and treat infections to resolution. Acquire and maintain hospital privileges at all group hospitals for coverage and rotation needs. Respond to hospital consults and calls within 24 hours. Maintain proper record keeping and documentation as outlined by group and hospital bylaws for accurate coding and billing.

Qualifications

Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Doctor with Fellowship in Infectious Disease.

Working Hours

Monday - Friday with weekend call, hours dependent on hospital census.
