Position Highlights
- Report to the Chief Medical Officer
- Lead and mentor physicians and advanced practice providers
- Collaborate closely with operational leadership and executive clinical team
- Drive quality improvement and patient outcomes initiatives
- Participate in community engagement and health equity efforts
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
- Provide comprehensive primary care services including diagnosis, treatment, and care coordination
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and manage acute and chronic conditions
- Ensure timely documentation, lab review, and patient follow-up
- Respond to clinical emergencies and support care team as needed
Leadership & Oversight
- Supervise and mentor advanced practice providers and clinical staff
- Conduct chart reviews, performance evaluations, and ongoing provider development
- Partner with leadership on recruitment, retention, and team engagement
- Ensure compliance with clinical standards, protocols, and regulatory requirements
Quality & Operations
- Lead and participate in quality improvement and performance initiatives
- Support implementation of clinical policies and best practices
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve care delivery and patient outcomes
- Monitor clinical performance metrics and patient satisfaction
Qualifications
Education & Licensure
- MD or DO from an accredited institution
- Board certified in Primary Care or related specialty
- Active Texas medical license and DEA registration
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience required
- Experience working with advanced practice providers
- Background in HIV care, gender-affirming care, or LGBTQ+ health strongly preferred
- Experience serving diverse and underserved populations
Skills & Competencies
- Strong clinical judgment and leadership abilities
- Experience with quality improvement and clinical program development
- Proficiency with EMR systems and telehealth
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
