Michigan Infectious Disease Associates is a well-established, patient-centered private practice specializing in the diagnosis and management of infectious diseases. We are seeking a dedicated Infectious Disease Physician to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated physician with a passion for infectious disease care to work in a collaborative, supportive private practice environment.
This position is mostly inpatient — minimal outpatient clinic responsibilities at this time. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical acumen, a commitment to lifelong learning, and a team-oriented mindset.

Job Responsibilities

Patient Care:
• Provide infectious disease consultations
• Deliver comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and management of infectious diseases
• Develop individualized treatment plans using current evidence-based guidelines
Consultation & Collaboration:
• Provide expert consultation to multidisciplinary teams to support optimal patient care
• Participate in infection control initiatives and antimicrobial stewardship programs
Practice Development:
• Stay current on emerging trends in infectious disease management
• Support community outreach and public health initiatives as appropriate
Documentation & Compliance:
• Maintain accurate, timely patient documentation and billing per federal and state regulations
• Adhere to internal policies, professional standards, and CME requirements

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency
• Board certification or board eligibility in Infectious Diseases
• Unrestricted (or eligible) medical license in Michigan
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Dedication to continued education and quality improvement

Working Hours

•    Weekend call: 1 in 3 weekends, negotiable
