We are seeking a board certified or board eligible Infectious Disease physician to join a large multispecialty group in the Bronx. This is an outpatient-only opportunity with flexible scheduling options.

J1 Waiver and CONRAD 30 candidates are welcome. H1B visa sponsorship available.

Position Highlights

• Outpatient-only practice

• Possible phone call coverage

• Part-time or full-time schedules available

• Work as little as one day per week

• Flexible scheduling based on location and patient demand

• Spanish speaking preferred, but not required

• EMR: eClinicalWorks

If working fewer than 20 hours per week, provider must carry their own malpractice insurance.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic infectious diseases

• Review patient medical records, laboratory studies, imaging, and referral documentation

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including cultures and specialized infectious disease testing

• Develop individualized treatment plans for bacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic infections

• Manage complex and drug-resistant infections

• Provide immunizations and counsel patients on infectious disease prevention

• Collaborate with primary care physicians and specialists on complex cases

• Identify and respond to potential outbreaks within the community

• Provide education to patients and staff regarding infection control and prevention

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record

Qualifications

• MD or DO

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Disease

• Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency and Infectious Disease fellowship

• Active New York State medical license (or ability to obtain)

• Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred
