A healthcare clinic in New York City is actively seeking a patient-oriented and compassionate Hyperbaric Oxygen Physician to join their growing staff. In this role, the Hyperbaric Oxygen Physician will be responsible for providing pre- and post-assessment consultations with clients.
Responsibilities
The Hyperbaric Oxygen Physician:
- Works in collaboration with a multidisciplinary medical team to provide white glove healthcare services to an exclusive clientele
- Performs initial intake meetings with clients before the evaluation tests; explains the medical aspects of the evaluation and the program and answers medical-related questions
- Conducts post-assessment meeting with clients; reviews the results of the assessments
- Designates adjunct treatments (physio, neuro etc.) and answers any additional medically related questions relative to the program
- Conducts regular half hour follow-up client meetings/checkups monthly to monitor client status, progress, and provide motivation for continued treatment, and refines program if/as needed.
- Assumes responsibility as the attending physician for the chamber operations
- Performs exit interview with client to review all post-treatment assessments and compare pre- and post-assessments
- Prepares a journal session once monthly on a topic to be designated by the Medical Director that is relevant to the activity in the center
Qualifications
- Medical Degree from a U.S. accredited School of Medicine (MD or DO)
- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New York
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support, (BLS) certification (with AED)
- 3-5+ years’ experience as a practicing physician
- Experience interacting with a diversified medical and para medical staff including physicians, nurses, Physical Therapists, Neuropsychologists, medical technicians.
- Specialization in Neurology, Neurosurgery, Anesthesia, Geriatrics, Family Practice, Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine
- Demonstrated presentation skills (via live conferences and/or community events etc.)
- Keen ability to utilize technology; technically savvy with current or previous use of an Electronic Medical Records
- Skilled in providing excellent customer service and support
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
