APP - Hospital Medicine Nocturnist
Job Details:
Provide cross-cover care for a less acute subset of patients in the Main TowerDoes not cover Step Down Unit, Cardiac Surgery, or Oncology (MD covers these units)
Schedule is 7 on/7 off from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (nights)
On-site coverage including weekends and nights
Cross-cover census of approximately 100 patients
Typically no daily admissions, but may be asked to assist with 1-2 simple admissions or consults on exceptionally busy days
No ICU rounding required
No procedures or vent management required
No call involved
Typical inpatient medical cases with trauma surgery covered primarily by physicians
Minimum 2+ years of inpatient hospitalist experience required
Colorado licensure required at time of presentation

This is a large inpatient hospital facility with approximately 520 beds, offering a full range of medical services including trauma care. The facility operates a structured hospitalist program with dedicated physician and APP teams covering various units, ensuring specialized care across multiple service lines. The Main Tower serves as the primary area for cross-cover APP nocturnist responsibilities, focusing on less acute medical cases in a well-supported inpatient environment.
