Aya Healthcare is seeking a Hospitalist (IM/FM) for a Locum Tenens opportunity covering day and night shifts at Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center (Sound Physicians) in Washington, DC. Start date 9/21/2026.
- 136-bed Level III trauma acute care hospital (expandable to 184 beds) with a closed 20-bed ICU covered 24/7 by board-certified intensivists
- Staffing model: 2 MDs and 1 APP on days (7A-7P) and 1 MD at night (7P-7A); approximately 41 census and 9 admits per day
- Oracle (Cerner) EMR; hospitalist responsible for APP supervision
- Procedures optional; specialist coverage includes cardiology, GI and ID support
Job Responsibilities
• Work 12-hour day (7A-7P) or night (7P-7A) shifts alongside APPs and board-certified intensivists
• Supervise APPs; procedures optional
• Oracle (Cerner) EMR
Qualifications
• Active DC license, DEA and DC CSR required at presentation
• 3 same-specialty peer references
• Not willing to license
