Aya Healthcare is seeking a Hospitalist for a locum tenens opportunity at Fresno Heart & Surgical Hospital (Sound Physicians) in Fresno, CA, supporting a September 2026 go-live. Clean files only.
- 48-bed pre-planned surgical hospital (no ED) with a 9-bed open ICU; average census of 28
- Day shift 7a-7p (2 physicians) and night shift 7p-7a (1 physician)
- Dedicated team model: about one week per month at this hospital
- Epic EMR; hospitalists supervise APPs and lead rapid responses
Job Responsibilities
• Night physician takes cross-cover calls (about 7 admits) and cross-covers medicine patients
• Lead codes and rapid responses; supervise APPs; anesthesia performs intubations
Qualifications
• Active California license
• ACLS required
• Minimum 2 years of experience; Epic experience required
• Clean file (no malpractice or unclean background history)
