Aya Healthcare is seeking a Hospitalist for a locum tenens opportunity at Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center (Sound Physicians) in Washington, DC. Start date 9/21/2026.
- 136-bed acute care hospital (expandable to 184) and Level III trauma center with a closed 20-bed ICU
- Day shifts 7a-7p and night shifts 7p-7a; team of 9 clinicians including APP support
- About 9 admits and 48 encounters per day; cardiology onsite weekdays
- Oracle (Cerner) EMR; temporary privileges possible case by case
Job Responsibilities
• Average daily census of about 41; roughly 9 admits and 48 encounters per day across the team
• Supervise APPs; procedures optional
• 24-hour MD coverage of a closed ICU by board-certified intensivists
Qualifications
• Active District of Columbia license, DEA and DC CSR at presentation
• 3 peer references; Oracle (Cerner) EMR
• MDs and NPs accepted (no PAs)
