What We're Looking For
Novant Health is seeking a compassionate and experienced Hospitalist to join our growing team serving the recently opened Novant Health Scotts Hill Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Practice in a community medical center that opened July 2026. Physicians will collaborate with an established team of Hospitalists and APPs while providing high-quality inpatient care.
Novant Health is a not-for-profit integrated system of 19 medical centers and more than 2,000 physicians in over 850 locations, as well as numerous outpatient surgery centers, medical plazas, rehabilitation programs, diagnostic imaging centers and community health outreach programs. Opportunity Highlights
- Brand-new hospital opened July 2026
- Serving residents of northern New Hanover and eastern Pender counties
- Open ICU with 24/7 tele-intensivist support
- Daily onsite Pulmonary/Critical Care support
- Procedures required
- Inpatient care with admissions and rounding responsibilities
- Collaborative physician and APP staffing model
Responsibilities
- Participate in admissions, rounding, discharge planning, and care transitions
- Collaborate with physicians, APPs, specialists, nursing, and care management teams
- Deliver patient-centered, evidence-based care in a team-oriented environment
- Support quality improvement initiatives and clinical excellence
Schedule
- 7-on/7-off schedule
- Primarily day-shift coverage
- Flexibility to assist with occasional night coverage as needed
- Typical shifts are approximately 12 hours
Candidate Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Graduate of an accredited school of medicine
