Locum - Hospitalist - MD/DO

Job Title: Locum Physician - Nocturnist

Join a top-tier health system located in the scenic city of Petoskey, MI! Our facility is seeking an experienced Hospitalist for night coverage starting December 1, with a schedule of 7 days on and 7 days off. The practice offers a supportive environment and the ability to provide care to a diverse patient population.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide nocturnal care in a hospital setting.
• Handle an average of 16 patients per day.
• Support staff will assist with admissions and code coverage.
• Utilize Cerner EHR for patient documentation.
• Ensure quality patient care in the absence of ICU/CCU.
• Participate in rounding and interdisciplinary cooperation.
• Assist with coordinating care and managing patient transitions.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
• Experience with adult inpatient care.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work nights and weekends as required.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Valid Michigan medical license in hand.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• DEA registration (verbal confirmation required).
• Clean background required for expedited privileging.
