WPA Medicine Staffing is seeking a BC/BE Hospitalist Physician for a 3–6 month locum tenens assignment in Gloversville, New York. This opportunity offers a collaborative inpatient team, an open ICU with pulmonary support, and potential for expedited onboarding for qualified candidates with clean files.

Assignment Highlights

• Assignment Duration: 3–6 months

• Facility Size: 75 hospital beds

• Staffing Model: 4 physicians and 2 APPs on at one time

• ICU: Open ICU with pulmonary support

• Procedures: Not required

• Must respond to Code Blue and Rapid Response Team (RRT) calls

• EMR: Meditech Expanse

• Temporary privileges may be available for candidates with clean files

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient hospitalist care

• Evaluate and manage hospitalized patients

• Collaborate with physicians and APPs

• Respond to codes and rapid response calls

• Provide care in an open ICU environment with pulmonary support available

• Perform procedures only if clinically needed and within scope; routine procedures are not required

Requirements

• BC/BE in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (ABIM/ABFM)

• Active New York medical license

• New York DEA

• ACLS required
  

• Comfortable managing inpatient medical patients

• Willing and able to respond to codes and RRTs

• Clean credentialing file preferred for consideration for temporary privileges
