A hospital in the Springfield, OR area needs hospitalists, 6 openings, starting 10/26/2026, 13-week contract with an extension expected. $201.16/hour, $251.45/hr OT, $301.74/hr holiday. No call, floor patients only, and flexible blocked scheduling such as 7 on and 7 off.

Job Responsibilities

Inpatient floor hospital medicine in a Level II trauma center of about 350 beds with full subspecialty support. Coverage is mostly days, primarily rounding, with some swing and night coverage for admissions and cross-cover for nocturnists. About 15 patients a day for rounders and 7 for admitters, adults only. No ICU management or rounding: intensivists run all in-house codes and handle lines, vents, and intubations, and IR or the intensivist group handles procedures. Epic EMR, proficiency expected.

Qualifications

Board certified hospitalist. Active Oregon license, required in hand for an October start. A non-Oregon license can be considered for a start 90 or more days out, with an expected license timeline included. 2 years of experience. ACLS required. Documentation of at least 80 patients in the past 24 months, or a recent residency or fellowship. COVID vaccination required, no exemptions. Credentialing runs about 90 days.

Working Hours

Day shift 12 hours starting at 7am. Swing shift 9 hours starting at 1pm (12 hours available if you prefer). Night shift 10 hours starting at 9pm (start can flex to 7pm). Blocked scheduling, for example 7 days on and 7 off, with flexibility. No call.
