Nocturnist Hospitalist Locum Opportunity – Missouri

We are seeking a Board Certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician for an ongoing Nocturnist Hospitalist locum opportunity in Missouri. Coverage is needed for the last 10–11 nights of every month, providing consistent inpatient-only night coverage with resident and APP support.

• No call

Schedule

• Night shifts: 8:00 PM–8:00 AM
• 12-hour shifts
• Last 10–11 nights of each month
• No call

Practice Setting

• Hospital Medicine
• Inpatient-only
• Adult patients ages 18+
• Epic EMR

Patient Volume

• Approximately 10 admissions per night
• Approximately 4–6 admissions staffed with resident physicians
• Supervision of approximately 4 APP admissions

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide overnight Hospital Medicine coverage
• Evaluate and manage adult inpatient admissions
• Staff admissions with resident physicians
• Supervise APP admissions
• Provide clinical oversight and support throughout the night
• Collaborate with the overnight physician, resident, and APP teams

Nighttime Support

• Night APP onsite from 8:00 PM–8:00 AM
• Swing physician onsite until midnight
• 2 resident physicians onsite until 6:00 AM

Requirements

• MD or DO
• ABIM or ABFM Board Certification required
• Active Missouri medical license required
• ACLS required
• BLS required

Ideal Candidate

A Board Certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician with Hospitalist/Nocturnist experience who can consistently cover the last 10–11 nights of each month. This opportunity offers a predictable recurring schedule, approximately 10 nightly admissions, and strong overnight support from APPs, residents, and a swing physician.
