Job description
We are seeking a Hospitalist Physician for a permanent, full-time position in Victoria, Texas. This is an employed inpatient hospitalist opportunity within an established acute care inpatient program, and a locums to perm pathway is available. Please see below for more information.
- Level III Trauma Center
- EMR: MedHost
Job Responsibilities
Manage the inpatient hospitalist service, including admissions, daily rounding, and ongoing patient care
Carry an average of approximately 18 encounters per clinician per day
Program volume of approximately 27,000 annual hospitalist encounters, or approximately 74 hospitalist visits per day across the service
Practice within an open ICU model, with pulmonary/critical care medicine available for consultation
Respond to Code Blue events
No procedures required
Qualifications
Active Texas medical license, or eligibility to obtain Texas licensure
ACLS certification required
BLS certification required
Working Hours
Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Onsite coverage required for the duration of each scheduled shift
