Job Responsibilities
sometimes those that are on pressers) Hospitalists will manage
step down and many patients with needs that require a lot of
time and in other hospitals will be in the ICU.
Patients and families are very actively involved in care decisions
and place a strong emphasis on communication. Hospitalists
should expect frequent family meetings and regular discussions
regarding treatment plans and progress.
The practice benefits from strong specialty support. Hospitalists
collaborate closely with consulting services to coordinate the
daily plan of care and ensure seamless management of patients
throughout their hospitalization.
The Admitting team is responsible for completing Admissions
within one hour of being called/notified. They respond to rapid
responses. They complete the process to transition patients
from ICU to the floor and respond/complete all requests for
medical consults for patients that are under specialty care

They have AM, PM and Swing shifts
