The Hospital Medicine program operates within a large integrated health system, offering physicians access to extensive resources while maintaining a collegial, team-based environment with strong subspecialty and intensivist support.Opportunity:
Physician - Hospital MedicineJob Details:
- Full-time Hospitalist position with a 7 on / 7 off block schedule for optimal work-life balance
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine required
- Must be licensed or eligible to be licensed in the State of Connecticut
- Daily census of approximately 45 patients shared between day and night providers
- Admissions volume of 5-10 patients per day
- Staffing model typically includes 2 providers per shift
- Closed ICU model with specialty and intensivist support
- Scope of practice focused on bread-and-butter Internal Medicine with strong subspecialty backup
- Emphasis on improving patient throughput and reducing ED wait times
- Focus on enhancing care coordination, continuity, and quality outcomes
- Collaborative environment with primary care and specialty teams
- Opportunity to influence patient flow, quality, and operational improvements in a community-focused setting
