Job description
We are seeking a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine trained Nocturnist Hospitalist for a permanent position with ECU Health North Hospital in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. This role focuses on inpatient night coverage with shared call. Please see below for more information.
- Practice setting: inpatient hospitalist (nocturnist), with some outpatient and shared call
- Duties: admitting patients, rounding, coordinating care with specialists, discharges, and managing acute medical conditions
- Schedule: nocturnist shifts (e.g., 7:00p - 7:00a) with structured blocks of days on/off
- Support from multiple specialties (cardiology, surgery, pulmonology) and telemedicine consults
- New graduates and visa candidates may be considered
- Employment status: full-time, permanent
Job Responsibilities
Coordinate care with specialists and manage acute medical conditions overnight.
Work structured nocturnist shifts (e.g., 7:00p-7:00a) with blocks of days on/off.
Utilize multi-specialty support and telemedicine consults as available.
Qualifications
Active North Carolina license required.
New graduates and visa candidates may be considered.
Hospitalist/nocturnist experience preferred.
