Job description
We are seeking a full-time Hospitalist Physician (MD/DO) to join the growing inpatient program at a community hospital in Cuero, Texas. This is an opportunity to practice in a low-volume inpatient setting with strong autonomy and a manageable patient census in a state-of-the-art acute care facility. Please see below for more information.
- 49-bed acute care facility
- Annual hospitalist encounters: 3,000 (approximately 8 patient visits per day)
- Average 2.5 admissions per day; average daily census of 4 patients
- 24-hour shift schedule with daytime rounding and on-call availability until the following morning
- Open ICU; no procedures required
- Meditech Expanse EMR
Job Responsibilities
- Perform daytime rounding with on-call availability until the following morning
- Manage an average daily census of approximately 4 patients (about 8 visits/day)
- No procedures required
- Coordinate care within an open ICU model
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
- Active Texas state license
