Job description
We are seeking a full-time Hospitalist Physician (MD/DO) to join a growing inpatient program in Victoria, Texas. This is a high-volume hospitalist opportunity in a Level III Trauma Center with strong specialty support, APP collaboration, and an established inpatient infrastructure. - 189-bed acute care hospital, Level III Trauma Center
- Annual hospitalist encounters: 27,000; average daily hospitalist visits: 74; approximately 18 encounters per clinician per day
- Open ICU with Pulmonary/Critical Care (PCCM) available for consultation; teleneurology support in the ED
- Strong multidisciplinary specialty support (surgery, cardiology, GI, nephrology, OB, oncology, pediatrics, pulmonology, plastics, neonatology, urology)
- MedHost EMR; Press Ganey patient satisfaction platform
- Dedicated Discharge Navigator APP support Monday-Friday
Job Responsibilities
- Respond to Code Blue events
- Provide onsite coverage for the duration of scheduled shifts
- No procedures required
- Day shift staffing: 2 hospitalist physicians and 2 APPs; night shift: 1 physician or 1 APP
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
- Active Texas state license
