Job description
We are seeking a Hospitalist for a locum tenens position in Springfield, Oregon. This is an Acute Care Hospital (Level 2 trauma center) inpatient role covering floor patients only, with no call. Please see below for more information.
- Acute Care Hospital, ~350 beds, Level 2 trauma center with full subspecialty support
- Inpatient, floor patients only (no ICU management or rounding; lines/vents/intubations handled by intensivists)
- 12-hour day shifts; blocked scheduling with flexibility (e.g., 7 on / 7 off, not necessarily consecutive)
- Rounding, admissions, cross-cover (for nocturnists)
- Adults only; ~15 patients/day for rounders, ~7 for admitters
- No call
- Epic EMR
- 6 openings; 13 week assignment
Job Responsibilities
- Perform rounding, admissions, and cross-cover
- Manage ~15 patients/day (rounders) or ~7/day (admitters)
- Work 12-hour day shifts on a blocked schedule
- Coordinate with subspecialty support at a Level 2 trauma center
Qualifications
- Active Oregon license required (in-hand at time of presentation)
- ACLS required
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Documentation of clinical activity (80+ patients in past 24 months) or recent residency completion
- Epic EMR experience required
