Job description
We are seeking a Hospitalist (Internal Medicine or Family Medicine) for a locum tenens position in Washington, DC, at an acute care hospital. Please see below for more information.
- Acute care hospital (Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center / Sound Physicians); Level III Trauma Center
- 136 beds (expandable to 184); 20-bed closed ICU with 24-hour BC intensivist coverage
- Day and night shifts available (2 MD days, 1 APP day, 1 MD night)
- Approximately 41 census, 8-9 admits/day; day shift census ~15
- Oracle (formerly Cerner) EMR
- Hospitalist responsible for APP supervision; procedures optional
Job Responsibilities
• Cover day (7a-7p) or night (7p-7a) shifts
• Supervise advanced practice providers (APPs)
• Manage approximately 8-9 admissions per day; day-shift census approximately 15
• Procedures optional
Qualifications
• Active DC license, DEA, and DC CSR required when presenting
• Credentialing timeframe: 30-60 days (temporary privileges available case by case)
