West Branch, Michigan is looking for a Hospitalist Physician with ICU capabilities to help assist with coverage from September 2026. Travel, Lodging and Malpractice Insurance is covered as part of this assignment. Please see all job responsibilities and qualifications below.
Job Responsibilities
- Must be Respiratory/Critical Care experienced with procedures as this is 100% IP based.
- Core Privileges & Procedures (MD/DO)
o Moderate Sedation
o Lumbar Puncture
o Endotracheal Intubation and Extubation
o Paracentesis/Thoracentesis
o Ventilator Management including Assessing Readiness for and Administering Respiratory Weaning/Oxygen Therapy and Extubation.
o Assessing need for Intubation
o Chest Tube Insertion
o Insertion of PICC Lines, Arterial Lines, Central Venous Lines either percutaneously or by cut down.
o Arterial Line Insertion and Removal (radial and femoral) – these tow privileges may be the same
o Tracheostomy Care including Tube Change
o Management of Tension pneumothorax in emergent situation
o External pacing including adjusting temporary epicardial, transvenous or transcutaneous pacemaker as necessary
Qualifications
- ACLS Certification
- DEA Certification
- Active Michigan State License or Active IMLC
- 50 Inpatient case logs within the past 12 months
Working Hours
Hours - 7:00AM - 7:00PM
Call - Night Call from 7:00PM - 7:00AM
