WPA Medicine Staffing is seeking a Hospitalist Physician for locum tenens coverage beginning in August 2026. This ongoing opportunity supports an established inpatient medicine program and offers flexible scheduling with both day and night shifts available.
Assignment Highlights

This is an excellent opportunity for physicians seeking scheduling flexibility while practicing in a collaborative hospitalist program. Providers will care for adult inpatients alongside experienced physician and advanced practice provider teams.
Daytime coverage includes two physicians and two NPPAs with shifts from 7:00 AM–5:00 PM and 8:00 AM–6:00 PM. Night coverage consists of one physician working 7:00 PM–7:00 AM with NPPA support from 6:00 PM–4:00 AM.
The facility features a closed ICU, allowing hospitalists to focus on inpatient medical management without primary ICU responsibilities. Documentation is completed using Epic EMR.
Requirements
- BC/BE in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine
- ACLS Certification
- Active state medical license
- Hospitalist experience preferred
