Local Team Collaboration:

  • We are seeking day hospitalists to join our close-knit team of 10 physicians and 3 advanced practice providers (APPs), supported by a clinical performance nurse at St. Joseph London.
  • Work alongside a dedicated team that thrives on collaboration. We offer a supportive environment where teamwork is a cornerstone of our approach.
  • We actively support each other at every turn, ensuring that our patients receive the highest standard of care.

Qualifications:

  • Board certification or eligibility in family or internal medicine.
  • New graduates are welcome to apply.

Scheduling:

  • We understand the importance of work-life balance and offer a flexible schedule with both day and night shifts to accommodate personal commitments.
  • Our team fosters a culture of support, where we cover for each other when someone needs time off, ensuring a healthy work-life balance for all.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage various cases in a 150-bed hospital, focusing on complex cases in a semi-open ICU, benefiting from round-the-clock intensivist coverage.
  • Collaborate closely with nursing staff and engage in key medical staff committees, including the credentialing and medical executive committees, to improve communication and patient care.
  • Participate in teaching and mentoring medical students, APPs, and residents from Lincoln Memorial University, fostering a culture of learning.
  • Engage in weekly group huddles to discuss challenges, share updates, and ensure seamless collaboration across the team.
  • Work within a structured program divided into 2 daytime groups, with support from a dedicated nocturnist for night coverage.
