Facility:
This medical center is a well-established healthcare facility providing comprehensive pediatric services to the community. The facility features an 8-bed Level 1 pediatric unit with strong support systems and modern equipment to ensure excellent patient care.
Opportunity:
Physician - Pediatric Hospitalist
Job Details:
• Provide 24-hour on-call coverage for 3 weeks starting in June with beeper coverage (not required to be onsite)
• Work 7am-7am shifts with approximately 3 hours of in-person rounding per day when called in
• Must be within 20-30 minutes of facility to respond to emergency calls
• Round to discharge newborn patients and provide newborn coverage
• Respond to emergency events in Level 1 unit (facility does not deliver below 36 weeks)
• Perform non-invasive ventilation management (neo-puff) and newborn intubation (ETT/NT)
• Handle UVC procedures and needle pneumothorax decompression
• Provide X-ray interpretation services
• Manage 1 patient encounter per shift with 8 beds in department
• Active Oregon medical license and Oregon DEA required
• Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years required
• NRP and BLS certifications required
• Credentialing timeframe of 90-120 days - quick application completion essential for June 1st start
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
