Facility:
This facility is part of a comprehensive healthcare system featuring a 350-bed tertiary care hospital (Level I certified Trauma Center) and an attached 140-bed multispecialty hospital connected via an indoor skywalk system. The 25-year-old Hospitalist program includes 58 physicians and 17 NP/PAs serving patients from northern Wisconsin and north-central and eastern Minnesota.

Job Details:
• Work in either Duluth or Virginia, MN locations with flexible scheduling options • Typical 7-day on, 7-day off schedule throughout the year; 175 shifts considered full-time • Duluth: Team-based collaborative model with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) • Duluth: Target staffing of 16-18 patients per day for physician-only rounding teams • Duluth: Shared APP and physician teams target 24-28 patient range • Duluth: Open ICU (no ventilator management) • Virginia: 30-bed hospital with Level IV Trauma Center and certified Stroke Ready facility • Virginia: Staffing model of 1 Physician and 1 APP on days and 1 dedicated physician nocturnist • Virginia: Average team census 14-28 patients, includes admissions • Virginia: Hospitalist-run ICU requiring ventilator management for 24-48hrs • Virginia: Critical Care consults and subspecialty consults easily accessible • Procedures not required at either location • BC/BE in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with strong interest in hospital-based care • Opportunity to participate in hospital-based research, quality, and clinical initiatives • Epic Electronic Medical Record utilized throughout the entire healthcare system • Inpatient teaching service for the Duluth Family Medicine residents available
