This is a prominent medical center providing comprehensive healthcare services to the Des Moines community and surrounding areas. The facility features state-of-the-art medical imaging, laboratory services, pharmacy, and an 8-bed OBED (Obstetrical Emergency Department) handling approximately 1,389 OBED visits annually with 463 resulting in deliveries.

Physician - Hospitalist - OB
Job Details:
• Locum OB/GYN Hospitalist position starting ASAP • Schedule: 24-hour shifts (7a-7a) with in-house call • Cannot work more than two 24-hour shifts in a row • Call rooms available for in-house call • Responsibilities include managing OBED patients, emergent patients (vaginal deliveries and C-sections) • Care for patients without primary OBGYN • Work with the only maternity transport team in Iowa • MFM will be on call for support • No GYN responsibilities • No supervision of APPs expected • EMR system: Epic • Board Certification in OB/GYN required (truly board eligible candidates considered) • Active Iowa medical license strongly preferred (or Active IMLC with LOQ) • Must have clean malpractice/background history • Facility not accepting providers local to the Des Moines area • Weekend coverage required
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
