This medical center is a well-established healthcare facility offering comprehensive pediatric services with a Level 1 pediatrics unit and Level 2 trauma capabilities. The facility features a 12-bed department with full 24-hour support services including laboratory, radiology, and various surgical specialties.
Opportunity:
Physician - Hospitalist - Pediatrics
Job Details:
• Provide wellbaby nursery coverage with daily rounding on babies • Take call once provider leaves facility (approximately 17 hours) • Manage approximately 12 patient encounters per shift • Work in a 12-bed department with strong support services • Must be comfortable with Level I nursery and Level II/NICU care • Required pediatric procedural skills include: • Inpatient care including PICU coverage • Non-invasive ventilation management (BIPAP/CPAP) • Acute and chronic ventilation management • Intubation for newborns and pediatric patients • Conscious and deep sedation • Central line placement • Board certification eligible with active Alabama license or IMLC • Must have ABLS, ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications • Credentialing timeframe approximately 10 days
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
