Required Skills:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Current, valid medical license to practice in Texas
- Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Proven experience in inpatient obstetric care
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a hospital setting
Nice to Have Skills:
- Previous experience in a hospitalist or locum role
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- BLS and ACLS certification
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Graduation from an accredited medical school
- At least 2 years of recent obstetrics inpatient experience
- Prior locum or temporary hospital-based practice experience is advantageous
Other Requirements:
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain a valid Texas medical license
- Ability to obtain expedited privileges through the hospital for clean files
- Willingness to work flexible hours and shifts
- Compliance with hospital and state medical regulations
