This medical center provides comprehensive healthcare services to the Grass Valley community, featuring a Family Birth Center, Emergency Department, and Inpatient services. The facility utilizes Cerner EMR and has a supportive medical team including LD nurses, OB/Gyn specialists, Anesthesiologists, ED Physicians, Hospitalists, and Tele-Intensivists.
Opportunity:
Physician - Hospitalist - Pediatric
Job Details:
• 24-hour on-call shifts (7a-7a) with 4 hours per day allotted to see patients or call-ins • Round daily on newborns in the Family Birth Center • Provide coverage for any newborn/delivery needs • Handle ED consultations for pediatric patients • Admit patients from the ED to the Inpatient setting (rare occurrence) • Perform neonatal resuscitations and applicable procedures • Assist with pediatric resuscitations in the ED and for pediatrics admitted to the floor • Skills include potential airway management, venous access, and other applicable procedures • Attend high-risk or concerned deliveries (RN and RT attend all deliveries) • Work in a facility averaging 325-350 deliveries per year • Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years • Valid state license and DEA registration required • Credentialing timeframe requires privileges at a Joint Commission (or equivalent) accredited hospital for two of the last four years • Preferred lodging options include Gold Miners Inn or Courtyard Suites

Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
