Facility:
This facility is the region's largest provider of pediatric care, featuring a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. The hospital includes a 20-bed Level III NICU, 14-bed General Pediatric Unit, 5-bed PICU, and a 13-bed Birthplace with additional Midwifery suites, allowing comprehensive care for critically ill infants and children.
Opportunity:
Physician - Pediatric Hospitalist (.6FTE)
Job Details:
• Join 5 Pediatric Hospitalists and 4 Pediatric Intensivists in a shared pediatric hospitalist practice • Work at a facility with a 20-bed Level III NICU staffed with 6 Neonatologists, 5 APPs, and 1 Neo Hospitalist • Provide care in a setting with 5 swing rooms that can accommodate NICU, Pediatric, or OB patients • Day/Night shifts and/or 24-hour shifts with equal weekends • In-house night shifts as needed • Support approximately 1700 births/year with NICU delivery coverage • Perform general birthplace rounding on newborns • Conduct moderate sedations • Practice across two hospitals on campus: a 344-bed tertiary hospital and a 165-bed specialized care facility • Participate in educational initiatives with medical students and family medicine residents • Must be BC/BE in Pediatrics • Experience in full-spectrum hospital pediatrics required • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance • 401(k) plan with employer contributions • Professional development opportunities through training and tuition reimbursement • Flexible scheduling and generous time off
