Local Team Collaboration:

• Join our well-established team of ten physicians and eight advanced practice providers at the University of New Mexico Hospital.
• Work alongside a unique group of clinicians with diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds.
• We work closely with our colleagues in other departments to ensure a seamless transition of care.

Qualifications:

• Candidates must be board-certified/eligible in internal medicine or family medicine.
• The ability to handle complex medical and social scenarios is essential.
• A patient-centered, compassionate mindset is a must.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
• J1 candidates invited to apply; access to Sound’s in-house visa specialists as well as our licensing and credentialing experts.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Practice in the Heart of the Community

Scheduling:

• Days only. The schedule is 7 days on and 7 days off.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality, comprehensive medical and post-operative patient care.
• Utilize Cerner EMR systems and Sound’s internal informatics platform.
• Support the rapid response team and attend codes as a courtesy run by the ICU team.
• The hospital has a closed ICU, and our hospitalist team is not responsible for procedures.

• Compensation: The compensation range is $1,829 (day) to $2,109 (night) per shift. Quality and productivity incentives are offered.
