Job description
Shape the future of healthcare in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, by becoming our next ENVOY Hospital Medicine Physician.
In Dallas-Fort Worth, we are committed to bringing “better” to life through better care, better collaboration, and a steadfast commitment to our community. If you’re looking for a role where you can thrive professionally while contributing to a vibrant community, we’d love to hear from you.
As an Envoy Hospitalist with Sound Physicians, you will travel to provide support to our hospitalist teams in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
Local Team Collaboration:
- We are seeking an ENVOY Hospitalist to join our DFW market.
- Work alongside a large, diverse hospitalist group proudly serving a growing population at various locations in the DFW area.
- We create an enjoyable workplace by providing essential support and resources, encouraging social interactions with colleagues, and nurturing relationships with team members while making every day count.
Qualifications:
- Board certified/eligible in internal medicine ONLY.
- Ability to manage complex medical and social scenarios effectively.
- A patient-centered and compassionate approach to care.
- Active medical license in Texas or eligibility to obtain one.
- Must be willing to work any shift, which will include day, swing, or night in Fort Worth, South Dallas, and North Dallas.
- Must be willing to work at any of our assigned local programs as needed. This would include our hospitals in Fort Worth, South Dallas, and North Dallas.
- This position is not open to residents; we are looking for a minimum of 1 year of hospitalist experience.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
Scheduling:
- This Envoy Hospitalist position offers a 7-days-on, 7-days-off schedule and no call. There is also some flexibility with the schedule as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical work assignments can vary day to day, as volume demands and openings change across a set of programs in a given market. As such, an Envoy provider may be at different sites daily, based on a needs assessment, within their assigned market(s). Sound Envoy team members enjoy the ability to have flexible shifts and to experience multiple hospitalist medicine cultures.
- Utilize EPIC and CERNER EMR systems and Sound’s internal informatics platform.
- Provide initial healthcare interactions, medical care, education, and support to a patient population that often lacks access to routine medical care and health-related resources.
Living and Working in Fort Worth:
- Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, is a great place to live due to its unique blend of vibrant cultural offerings, including world-class museums, a thriving music scene, a strong sense of community, and a lower cost of living than many other major cities.
- The city also boasts diverse outdoor activities, from the Fort Worth Nature Center to the iconic Stockyards, making it an appealing and well-rounded destination for residents.
- Our involvement in the homeless/unsheltered census count has helped our JPS street medicine program identify locations and numbers for our homeless population.
- We support patients with limited healthcare access, including uninsured and indigent populations.
Compensation:
- Includes varied shift rates depending on the programs, with additional quality and productivity bonus opportunities.
- Days: $1,560 per shift
- Swing: $1,700 per shift
