This medical facility is a well-respected hospital serving the North Coast region of California. The facility provides comprehensive pediatric and neonatal care services with a supportive medical team and environment focused on quality patient outcomes and professional collaboration.
Opportunity:
Board Certified/Board Eligible - Pediatric Hospitalist
Job Details:
• 24-hour call shifts (6am-6am), not required to be in house
• Low workload with 1-7 patient encounters per shift
• Census typically includes 1-5 well babies (up to 6-7), 0-5 NICU babies (usually 1-3), and 0-1 pediatric patients
• NRP certification required
• Must be able to perform neonatal airway management including intubation
• Required skills: management of neonatal air leak/pneumothorax including needle decompression
• Required to perform emergent UVC placement (delivery room)
• Must be proficient in UVC/UAC placement and lumbar puncture
• EKG interpretation skills required
• Preferred skills: ventilator management and chest tube insertion (neonates)
• Must have an active California medical license
• Board certified or truly board eligible within 3-5 years of residency completion
• PALS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of current hospital clinical activity in specialty
• Position starts February 1, 2026 with ongoing assignment potential
• Credentialing timeframe is 60-90 days

Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
